Listened to Musashino Academia Musicae Wind Ensemble Concert 2020 at Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre.
The repertoire mainly consists of old and new American band music as well as Asian and European pieces. MG (Ret.) Akira Takeda’s conducting gave colouring to the music, and conservatory students showcased fresh and skilful performance. The two-hour concert was very enjoyable!
Actually, a member on the stage regularly works with me in a community band. Also, today’s repertoire might have very small and indirect influence from me. I felt a sense of pride in these things!
