Listened to Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Eastern Army Band the 73rd Regular Concert at Wako Civic Cultural Centre Sunazelea.
It was the first concert after the COVID-19 epidemic. Preventive measures against the transmission were taken like transparent-plastic screens at the entrance.
The show itself was 90 minutes without intermission. Audiences were requested to sing the national anthem “inside their mind” at the beginning of the concert.
In the view of the current state of affairs, the theme of the first half seemed “Dreams in the Future”.
Pop music repertoires were showcased in the second half. As well as clear sound by the very neat ensemble, the band members’ comic sketches were quite impressive which would have cause explosions of laughter if the social situation allows people to give loud voices.
