Watched Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind at a local movie theatre yesterday as it’s the last week to show it there.
The audio is monaural. All the sounds come from the centre, which brings new feeling rather than old for me to listen to it in a movie theatre. The picture is more blurred than recent ones. However, the content of the work is great, indeed!
Nausicaä was released in 1986, 39 years after the end of WW2. 36 years have been passed after that.
I think: some historical events and matters in the 20th Century are reflected as metaphors in this work. Watching it in 2020, more things including recent and this year’s events can be overlapped more with there metaphors, which shows greatness of the work.
Also, a movie theatre is the best place for me to watch movies as I have a concentration problem!
